Patate est une urne funéraire familiale, proposant une forme de juxtaposition comme dans le tombeau familial. L'ensemble des défunts compose une grosse patate germée, chaque germe contenant un membre de la famille. L'ensemble est un objet curieux qui peut siéger au sol au sein de la maison ou dans un jardin. Cet objet dédramatise le langage du deuil dans une allégorie légère mais fortement symbolique. Les germes attirés par la lumière tendent communément vers le ciel tout en naissant de la même souche. Les noms sont gravés dans la terre à même chaque germe.

"Patate" is a family funeral urn, a transfer of the physical juxtaposition offered in the family tomb. The deceased family is represented by a fat sprouting potato, a sprout for each member. The whole is an object that can sit on the floor inside the house. This item dedramatises the language of bereavement in a light, but highly symbolic allegory. The sprouts, attracted by the light, all reach towards the sky while growing from the same root. The names are engraved in the ground on each sprout.
